Ever since I was a young girl, it has always been my dream to be on the drill team in my high school. It have taken me years and years of dance classes, and I have totally made it my passion. I don't just want to be on the drill team, though, I want to be the best of the best. That is why I begged my parents for a 3rd generation iPod so that I could download all of the music that we were using for our routines at school so that I could practice at home in my room and learn them really well. Now, since my parents bought me such an expensive gift for Christmas, they made me swear up and down that I would take really good care of it. I already have my own car, which I am paying for out of my part time job at Sonic, so I convinced them that I could be responsible enough to take care of this iPod. The only glitch that came into my plans was when I was leaving my drill team practice in a hurry to get home to watch Grey's Anatomy. I was rushing to my car, and then I dropped my purse and my gym bag, and I didn't notice that my iPod was on the ground. I felt some resistance when I was backing out, so I got out of my car and looked to see that the backplate of my iPod was completely dented because I'd run over it. I was really reluctant to tell my parents, and of course my dad completely blew up at me. I had to get right on the Internet and look around to see how much it cost to fix the backplate so that he wouldn't ground me. He and I were both pleasantly surprised because I was able to find a website that allowed you to ship in your iPod to them to get the backplate replaced for a really low price. All it took was a couple weekends of work, and I was able to pay my parents back right away for the whole cost of the repair. I was just happy to be able to have my iPod back so that I could keep using it to practice for drill team and our upcoming games so that I could have an edge on the competition.
