Face Plate for Apple's 3rd Generation iPod nano
The metal face plate on the Third Generation iPod nano is a great improvement over the plastic fronts on the older models, but is still susceptible to damage. You can get that brand-new appearance back again though with a replacement part. Our parts are installed and thoroughly tested by professional technicians and your repaired device is carefully packaged and sent back to you within a few business days after we receive it.

The silver back of the 3rd Generation iPod nano is very hard to remove, and therefore gets severely bent when we remove it. But do not worry: we will replace the backing with a shiny brand new one. Just keep in mind that any engraving that you may have, as well as the serial number of your device, will not be printed on the new backing. As a courtesy, we always return the original backing that was on your iPod nano (unless you request otherwise) which you can keep as a memento.

We offer a variety of same-day shipping options from us to you, perfect for any level of urgency.

Limited-time Offer: Enter FREESHIP in coupon code field at checkout for FREE USPS First Class Mail shipping (on orders greater than $10), or apply that discount towards another shipping method that you prefer!

My 3rd gen iPod had the old plastic faceplate, and it was so banged up. I wanted to invest a little bit of money to have it looking new, and I heard that there were metal faceplates available. I searched around online for this product, and you all had the most competitive price by far. I can't tell you how happy I was to receive my new iPod in the mail, and it looks completely brand-new! It was seriously getting to the point of embarrassment when I had to take out my scratched and chipped old looking iPod. It looks completely new, and I am really happy with the service. I will tell my friends about this if they have the same problem.

Third Generation iPod nano Repair Stories

I know there are lots of moms out there who have kids who don’t fight with each other, but frankly, I’ve never met any of them. My kids get into it from time to time, and I never know what’s going to set them off. I was working at my desk one afternoon a few weeks ago and my two teenage sons were upstairs doing their homework. I heard some rumblings from them, but was trying to ignore them and finish my work. All of a sudden, I heard a thud and some scuffling sounds and then the thunderous sound of two sets of feet pounding down the stairs. “Mom!” they both shouted at once, each trying to get my attention first. They burst into my office and my older son said, “He broke my iPod!” He held the iPod out in his hand, like he was holding a wounded bird. When I got the boys calmed down and could question them as to what had happened, the story seemed to be that there had been a disagreement over the type of music they were each listening to and the volume level they’d each been using, since neither of them wanted to use their headphones. My younger son had gotten fed up with the older son’s music disrupting his concentration and he stalked into his brother’s room, grabbed the iPod out of the speaker cradle, and threw it across the room. It hit the wall and died. After I got the story, I sent the two of them back to their rooms to work out a solution. My older son demanded a new iPod. My younger son had no money. They had to figure something out. About an hour later, both boys returned to my office looking markedly happier. “We’ve got it all figured out, Mom,” they assured me. I was surprised, but listened to their story. They’d gone online to try to see if they could get any tips on fixing the iPod, and when they were searching, they came across a couple of iPod repair websites. They explored those options and were thrilled to find them affordable and pretty quick! The boys set up an agreement where my younger son, who threw the iPod, would pay for the iPod repair – something he could afford – and he would also lend his brother his iPod while his brother’s was getting fixed. Both boys seemed happy with the solution. The iPod came back from the iPod repair company yesterday and the boys were thrilled. The iPod was in perfect shape and the repair had been quick and inexpensive. And they both agreed that they should wear headsets while they do their homework.
