Repair Stories about Apple's IPOD:

I have to say that it is my personal preference that I don't really love having a white face plate on my iPod. It may not make sense, but I feel like the dark border of a face plate of black helps me to focus on the video because it reminds me a little bit of the screen on a TV or at the movies. As silly as that is, I decided to keep my white face plate as long as I could stand it, but I noticed after months of wear and tear that my faceplate was getting scratches and dents in it anyway so I felt that it was time for a repair. The face plate is basically what is holding in all the innards of your iPod, and it goes along with the backing that holds the battery, hold button, and head phone jack. When my face plate finally started to wear down and look really poor, I knew that it was the right time to get it repaired and get myself a color that I really liked. I started to search for iPod repair sites that could hopefully quote me some kind of good price on face plate replacement. Well, I decided to shop around a bit, and I even emailed several prospective companies to see what they could tell me in their customer service department. I was just afraid of sending off my iPod to an unknown company and getting it back with even more problems than I started with. Surprisingly, only one company emailed me back very promptly, and they reassured me that they had the caliber of trained techs that I needed in my iPod repair. They quoted me a great price, and that made it easy for me to ship it in to them post haste. I actually received it back in an even shorter time- do they have worker elves?- and can now happily watch my movies on my iPod with its new sleek black face plate!
