Underlying LCD for<br>Apple 1st Gen iPod touch<!--BASE:T1LCD=75.00-->

The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is the screen that you see when you turn your device on. When in need of repair, it can display all white, all black, dead pixels, or discolorations from bleeding liquid.

Replacing the underlying LCD in the 1st Generation iPod touch takes expertise, and we have the talent in house to quickly remove your old, damaged LCD and replace it with a brand new one. The new LCD that we install is tested out and returned back to you, usually on the next business day. So if you have an iPod that works great, but the display is damaged in some way, add this item to your cart and let us do the rest.

If both the digitizer (the outer glass) AND the LCD (the part that displays images and lays underneath the outer glass) are damaged, we offer a discount on both parts when purchased together.

If you do not have the very first iPod touch (the one with the rounded black antenna cover on one corner of the backplate) , click here for the 2nd Generation iPod touch, here for the 3rd Generation iPod touch, or here for the 4th Generation iPod touch LCD.

We offer a variety of same-day shipping options from us to you, perfect for any level of urgency.

If you suspect your device has water or liquid damage, we suggest setting up an order for our repair evaluation for liquid-exposed devices as it is possible that this part alone will not solve the problems that you are having.

I thought that something was wrong with my iPod, so I started looking at all of the different symptoms online. It had black spots on the screen because I had dropped it on the pavement, and I was just glad that the screen didn't crack. I had been warned so many times about cracking the screen on my iPod touch because it's pretty expensive to fix. Luckily, I was able to check out this company online, and it seemed like the problem that I was having had to do with the LCD. I sent my iPod into milliamp immediately to get it fixed, and I felt that they charge me a very affordable and fair price for quick and accurate service.

1st Generation iPod touch Repair Stories

I've acted in quite a few plays and had some small parts in a few movies. I make enough to keep going but I'm still waiting for my big break. I put my heart and soul into the roles I get - that's the way I do things. No matter how small the part, even if it's just a few lines, I try and get under the skin of the character and understand the motivations behind what he says and does to make my portrayal as realistic as possible. I also meditate for a while before going on stage. I try and focus only on the character I am playing and clear my mind of everything else. I find it helps me to do my best. The reviews I have been getting have been improving over the last year so I have hopes that my break will come soon. What helps me with my meditation is my iPod which plays quiet calm music for me amidst the backstage chaos and helps me to get ready to go onstage. Without it I don't know what I would do. Or rather I do- I damaged it some time ago and was really in the soup. I don't know what happened but one day the iPod just stopped working. I went on stage without my usual meditation and I know I did not do my best. Later on I tried to get it to work, but with no luck. I was in trouble because I really couldn't afford to buy a new one and I was totally dependent on it to help me get ready to go on stage. Luckily I remembered an old roommate of mine had once gotten his iPod repaired. I knew he had found iPod repair companies online. The first chance I got I went online and searched for iPod repair websites and found many more than I expected. It seems that iPod repair is a regular business. And I had always thought that these small electronic devices had to be thrown away once they went bad! I contacted one of the companies and as per their advice, sent my iPod to them. The next few days were hard, with no iPod to help me prepare to go on stage, but the repair was done very fast and it was returned to me in perfect condition. And for a price, that an impoverished actor could afford.
