iPod classic LCD Stories:

Let me tell you a little story about how I managed to drop my iPod classic on my driveway. But it gets better than that, because it was actually all by accident, and my iPod fell out of my purse as I was returning from a long day at work, so I didn't even notice it was gone. I actually wouldn't even need it until the following day when I was going to the gym after work. Well, the next day, I woke up and got into my car to back out of my driveway on the way to work. Same ole, same ole- but not exactly. I heard a small crunch and some resistance as I backed out so I looked out of the car to see what it could be. Bad news- it was my new iPod! I took some time to survey the damage and found it had actually just dented the back plate really badly, but the rest of the iPod was fine! It was almost too good to be true, but I knew I still needed to see if there was a good repair site to replace my back plate. I shopped around online, because I didn't know if I should look at Apple or what. Well, there was actually a great site that came to my attention specializing in iPod classic repair, and they asked me to ship my iPod in for an assessment. I would have been embarrassed, but they seemed like they dealt with this sort of thing all the time, and that made me feel even better. They emailed me that they could replace my back plate for a reasonable price, and they then sent me the tracking number of my order when they shipped it back to me. Now that's service! I hope to not repeat this event, but I was happy with the results.
