iPhone Repair Stories

I admit that housework is not my forte. I do it because it’s there and it has to be done, but I’m always rushing through and trying to cut corners and get on to something more fun! One Saturday morning, I had gotten up a little late and I was trying to cram a load of laundry into the washing machine before I left the house to go to the soccer games. I grabbed the dark clothes from the laundry basket, sorting out the whites as I went and throwing them into another pile. I dumped in some laundry soap, punched the right buttons and was out the door. A few hours later, I returned from the soccer games, tired and hungry. As the kids cleaned up from their games, I decided to move the load of laundry into the dryer. As I pulled the clothes out of the washing machine, I heard a strange thunk. Something heavy had hit the side of the washing machine drum. My heart sank. Cell phone? I thought to myself. Yes. It was my husband's iPhone. I felt sick. He loves that iPhone. It is with him all the time. He loves to use it to look things up on the internet on the go. He has speakers that he uses to play music from his iPhone. That iPhone was one of his favorite things. And I had just washed it. I thought through my options and could only come up with one – replace the iPhone. I was upset about this when the phone rang. It happened to be a friend of mine who is also a mom, so I started right in on my sad story. She stopped me toward the end, when I was lamenting having to buy a new iPhone. “What about iPhone repair?” she asked. I had never thought about that. After I got off the phone, I went online and found a few iPhone repair websites. I checked through various sites online, and chose the one I thought would best work for me. When I told my husband what I had done, I told him about my plan to get his iPhone repaired. While he wasn’t happy, when he found out that it would only take a couple of weeks to be fixed, he was Ok with it. When his iPhone arrived a few weeks later, good as new, he was thrilled and so was I! I was so glad I had explored the iPhone repair options before I went out to buy a new one. And now, I check ALL the pockets before I throw in a load of laundry!
