microsoldering
  • My 3gs iphone sustained water damage. I did manage to get most of the water out and dry it out considerably but the phone only comes on and shows a prompt to plug into itunes. I was following a procedure on youtube to open the phone and ran into a snag when I went to remove the third cable. I moved the latch in the wrong direction and pulled it completely off. I called another repair place and they said that I needed to get it micro soldered.
Is this true? If it is can you perform this procedure?

The likelihood that we can repair water damaged devices is largely dependent on the severity of the damage, and we really need to have your device in front of us so we can evaluate it.

We apply the cost of the evaluation towards any repairs that you authorize, so you will not be out anything if you opt to have the device fixed. But if the damage is too severe, and the replacement parts too expensive, we do keep the evaluation fee and return the device back to you.

Here is the link to place your order for an evaluation and to learn more about the process: http://www.milliamp.com/repair-evaluation.html

We can micro solder your iPhone as well but our technicians would have to evaluate the device first.
  • You cant make a sub for something that small. You can get a basic soldering iron for less than 10 bucks at Radio Shack.
