while removing the battery from ipod 5th gen video the ribbon cable was glued tight to bottom of battery. there was no way to remove it without tearing . am i screwed?
I think the ribbon cable you're referring to is the headphone jack assembly cable that lies underneath the battery. If so, you'll lose Hold switch function, or headphone jack function, or both. If this is the case, you'll need a new headphone jack assembly.
