You may need a new charging port for your iPhone 3GS if:

  • iPhone is not recognized when plugged in
  • iPhone won't charge when plugged in
  • iPhone has bottom speaker and microphone problems

Warranted for 1 year.

The charging port itself consists of the 30-pin port, home button flex connection contacts, external speaker, microphone, and antenna.

If you decide to repair this yourself, the kit will include 2 green spudgers (utility tools) a #00 phillips screwdriver, a suction cup (to lift the glass), blue tape and bumpers to secure the charging port's connector, and the charging port.

Note: It is very important that you tell us if you have an iPhone 3G or and iPhone 3GS, as the charging port between these two models are different.

I use my iPhone like all of the time because I download all kinds of shows to it. Around my house, I don't have the opportunity to watch what I want at all, which is lame, but at least I have my iPhone to help me because I can download shows. I had downloaded all of this stuff, and I could not get my iPhone to charge for anything. I don't know a lot about it, so I asked my boyfriend to look at all of these different manuals online to see what he could figure out. He told me that I needed to get it repaired, but at least this repair was very cheap and professional and my iPhone works perfectly now so I will recommend it.
