Creating music is hard when you live in Writer’s Block Land

Friday, January 15th, 2010

The title above was meant as a joke but now that I think about it…not so much. I have been writing songs for about 10yrs and good songs for about 3, but I seem to be stuck in a place where my creative light is too dim to light the page I need to write on. I am hoping that this blog will renew my writing spirit and allow the words to flow freely. Or it would at least keep me from wasting so much time playing video games.  I never really studied the art of creative writing and as of late i have felt that it may have helped a bit. When I was was younger  and life was still a mystery to me it seemed that I could write about almost anything but now that I know more I feel as though boundaries have been set…. wow this is turning out to be a pretty depressing read, sorry guys. Most blogs give helpful information like what to do when attacked by a bear, or where to find the best food, or how to style your hair if it’s curly, but I guess this blog is more of a request…… So you sitting there reading this on the clock….. if you could… at this exact moment…. hear a song about anything…..What would it be? I am looking to release my songs by June of this year and credit will be given (I do not mean money) so take time and really think about it.  Thank you for reading

Get To Sleep With The Help of Your iPhone

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

Sleep deprivation is absolutely no joke, and studies have shown that not getting enough sleep can cause bad skin, poor health, and even weight gain! If you need a little bit of help (more than just a warm glass of milk) to get you to sleep on a nightly basis, then try the aSleep iPhone app. This app only costs $.99, and it works as a sound soother with nature sounds of the forest, wind, rain, and beach. This will soothe you into a deep sleep, and it even has a programmable timer.

It’s important to get up to eight hours of sleep per night, and this app will help you along the way. All you have to do is tap on the sound to begin or end the music, and you can also set your own timer. When the timer runs out, this app will shut down, and then your iPhone will go to sleep as well. It seems like the perfect combination because your iPhone can lull you into a deep sleep, and then shut down itself. Think of all of the money that you would save on purchasing an expensive sound soother when your iPhone can do the trick for you!

Repairs for Apple’s Sixth Gen IPOD NANO Repairs Announced at milliamp.com

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

The new 6th Generation IPOD NANO’s low-power consumption and feather-light-weight design makes this Apple’s most creative IPOD ever.

We are pleased to get our hands on two prototype 6th Generations NANOS, shown here in this exclusive photo:

Interestingly, the battery inside Apple’s Six Generation IPOD NANO does not have a wired connector that attaches to the motherboard, nor is it soldered in like all the nanos before it – actually, it has absolutely no battery to speak of! Yep, this device is solar-powered.

We found that the display on the new IPOD NANO lacked a great deal of visual acuity, more so than the previous NANO models, including the monochrome first generation nano screen. But if this is the trade-off for a greener, more eco-friendly IPOD, then we can accept that.

The small form factor of the new device is simply amazing – it has the exact same weight as U.S. nickel – and it is so thin that you can literally see through it in some areas. We believe that these small holes actually help keep the unit’s core temperature cool, but we have yet to officially confirm this in our tests (more details on this to follow in another blog post).

While the device lacks the touch-screen functionality that is seen in the ubiquitous IPHONE and IPOD TOUCH, the new IPOD NANO has more than 20 headphone jack ports all over the face of the device where you can plug in your earbuds, making this the most unexpected added convenience we have seen in an IPOD NANO to date.

Of course, we can repair the sixth Generation IPOD nano, and you will start seeing parts and services for this model any moment now, so bookmark that page and check it regularly until we get it updated.

P.S. This was a joke. Just a bit silly after all the Cyber-craziness over the past few days.

Food again…I think I see a trend going.

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Wow. It has been forever since i’ve written a blog. A thousand pardons. :) Well summer is almost over. Is it me or is 2009 going by super fast? Anyway, my last few blogs have been about burgers….well this blog will be about more food. My girlfriend and I are big fans of the show MAN VS. FOOD. One of the episodes is of great food places in Texas. So she and I decided to take a trip to some of the places.

First stop, Salt Lick BBQ. There was about a million people waiting in line (just a guess…I rounded up). As soon as you walk in, you can see the pit where they cook all the meat. They even let people walk into the kitchen to take pictures of it. After 45 minutes, we got our table. We ordered and about 5 minutes later, they brought us our food. I started to think that maybe they had all the food ready and it wont be fresh. I was wrong. Now, my father and grandfather have made the best BBQ I’ve ever had. No where or no one has ever come close. Until now. It was the best plate of BBQ Ive ever had. No joke. It was fresh, hot and amazing. I can die now. haha. I cant even put into words how good it was. The ribs were my favorite thing on the plate. The meat comes right off the bone. No problem.  You need to go eat there at least once in your life.

Next stop, Round Rock Donuts. We let the cashier know it was our first time there…..he gave us free hot donuts. They are amazing. Best donut Ive ever had. They also have a donut called the “Texas Donut”….its bigger than my head. It was equally amazing.

Now for some San Antonio food updates.

Scuzzi’s Italian Grill – Amazing food. Best Italian food I’ve ever had. This place is a little on the expensive side, but it is worth it.

Big’z Burger Joint – I’ve been trying to eat at this place for awhile now. Dreams come true. Best burger I’ve ever had. Sorrry Chris Madrids…this place has won my heart…and my stomach.

We’ll I guess thats it for me. Im thinking about making my blog about great eating places. hmm…sounds good to me!! haha. Enjoy the rest of your summer friends.
