I have a respect-question relationship with Reseller Ratings. This is the site that, among other things, lets customers provide milliamp feedback and feedback for other companies (for free), but charges the merchant if they want to be able to respond and view details about the customer who posted the feedback. It’s that last part that sticks in my craw, but I have vented about that before here on this very blog.

I like RR because they provide a good forum for customers to go to and rant (or most of the time in our case, rave) about their experiences with a merchant. Of the various review sites out there, Reseller Ratings seems to be the one that has their act together – simple interface, gives the merchant half-a-chance to respond to the post before it goes public, stellar behind-the-scenes support (Lara rocks), and even an engaged owner (go to this post and scroll down to see the response from RR CEO Scott).

But like any business, there is always room to improve:

1. How about giving merchants a discount on their monthly fee (we currently pay $29/month to manage one account) if they maintain a higher-than average rating for more than six months?

2. How about allowing merchants who conduct the same business, but under multiple domain names, the ability to merge accounts under one main account? We would have to maintain four accounts with Reseller Ratings (presumably for $116/month) if we wanted the ability to be able to respond to customer feedback on each account.

I don’t have a long list of suggestions, because what RR is doing for the public is a novel thing. I personally hope to one-day create a site similar to it, but for merchants to provide feedback on their customers.

For those that know me, I have a bit of a domain name addiction. I think it reached its’ peak of insanity when I purchased the domain blake-is-the-new-sanjaya.com (true story) a few years back when Sanjaya was voted off ‘American Idol’ and hack Blake was deemed the next in line Howard Sterns’ goal to inspire enough people to vote a talentless dweeb to the top spot.

I’ve struggled to hold my personal obsession with URL’s back, but I think we got a bit lucky when, back in April 2009, we registered the iPad repair domain names ipad-repair.com and ipadrepair.com. Since we are going to be hard-core in the iPad repair business, having domain names that say what we do will be most helpful to Milliamp LTD:

Two New iPad Repair Domain Names

For now, these two sites aren’t doing a whole heck of a lot for us, but they will eventually become a great resource for our future customers seeking iPad repairs and parts.

Now, who has any suggestions for helping us monitize our leet-inspired domain names for Twitter?

Have a great evening,

P.S. We had two GOLD iPhone backplate winners this week – one worker here at Milliamp LTD and one iPhone fanatic from Alaska. More details on this coming soon!
