Let me start this blog with the quote from a man who forgot to blog last week: Music is life and life is worth listening to. To the most important underrated Application I raise my glass. Some would say GPS, or Bejeweled, or the NEW Knocking Video and to those people I say, Learn to read a map……Take a break…….. and, oK the Knocking Video is pretty cool, but I am writing this to give honor to the simple but great Voice Memos Application.
You may say, ” I don’t even use that thing” or ” It’s so simple and boring” or ” When does football season start up again?”. This application ignores the glamor and glitz that other applications have in order to serve it’s purpose: Quick loading time to save the information you are about to forget. Being a musician, I am constantly writing songs and coming up with ideas and with the help of the Voice Memos application I have been able to save enough ideas for two albums. Another great thing about this app is that it loads straight onto your itunes…. this can also be a bad thing if your wife has her iPod set to download the whole music library and ends up hearing you practicing your falsetto….. very embarrassing
I am sure it has been done before but I don’t care….starting next week I will begin the journey of creating a full album using just the Voice Memos application and maybe……. just maybe I’ll post some of the stuff on my next blog. We all have a voice and even though some may sound like they’re getting punched in the neck while they sing it’s still important to express yourself through song. So go some place where no one can hear you and let those golden pipes ring.

I like that we can use this feature as a means to test the microphone during Quality Control, but we need to come up with a simple, repeatable script instead of Martin’s Gregorian Chants.
Anthony
I love Martin’s chants! I’ve heard him belt out some Celine Dion a time or two, so I suppose he better stop that…
