Yayyy! Am I the only one unreasonably excited and giddy like a schoolgirl about American Idol starting tonight? Unreasonably excited is an understatement, but you get the picture. It took me a little while to warm up to American Idol, but it’s something that targets the heart of America because you get to root for the underdog, the diva, the weirdo, or whoever you would like. Then you get to watch people lose and cry or win and cry, and it makes for great TV.
Personally, I have been checking out the American Idol website all day on my iPhone, and did you know that you can even follow them on Twitter and Facebook? Or perhaps you are one of the people that will be on American Idol tonight as they visit a number of cities across the United States to audition regular people just like you. One of the latest rumors that I saw on my iPhone was that Simon Cowell will be leaving American Idol next season to judge in the competitive show the X Factor. I personally am glad that Paula Abdul has hit the road because she is too demented for my taste, but let’s see what Ellen DeGeneres has to offer!

I really loved the final 5 Idol group song last night. It was sad to see Aaron Kelly removed but I do believe the other singers were better singers so he needed to go!
