On Thursday of last week a man and his son came into our shop with a broken itouch screen. Turns out that they didn’t go with the new screen right then but they promised that they would be back. I can’t wait to see the looks on their face when the come back and get the new lcd replacement for their first generation ipod touch because it will look brand new when they do.
Fortunately, they did not have a 2nd gen itouch, since we don’t at the moment repair those devices – just too hard to get into. But the first generation iPod touch (the one WITHOUT volume control buttons on the side of the device) can be repaired – even if the screen is broken, which is good news for many iPod owners and in particular, this family that recently stopped by our shop.
