So I didn't know what the part was called, but now I know it's called a bezel. I just knew that my outer part of my iPhone looks pretty damaged. I senht it in to Milliamp so that they could check it out for me to estimate the repair cost. I was like willing to pay anything around $100, but they charged me half that price! Even better, it was really cool that this company uses expert technichians because it made me feel much more comfortable about sending in my phone to them. My iPhone is so expensive in the first place, so why would I risk it with people who didn't know what they were doing? Milliamp was very professional and competent!

iPhone Repair Stories

My son plays lacrosse. It’s gotten to the point in his life where this is all he wants to do. One could easily, and accurately, see his obsession with this sport. If he’s not on the computer looking at lacrosse websites, he’s throwing the lacrosse ball with his friends. If he can’t find anyone to throw with, he’s in the backyard taking shots on goal to practice. He carries his lacrosse stick with him wherever he goes. If he’s in the house or in the car, he has a lacrosse stick in his hand, tossing a ball. My son received a new iPhone for his 18th birthday, right about the same time his lacrosse obsession began. He downloaded music and videos and was thrilled to find out he could go watch videos of lacrosse matches on his iPhone. He took his iPhone with him everywhere, listening to it and talking to friends on it whenever he had the chance. One day, my son was out in the backyard taking shots on the goal and he missed. His lacrosse ball went flying deep into the woods and he couldn’t find it. Discouraged, he decided to call it quits for the day. He scooped up his iPhone in his lacrosse stick and went off to find a friend. I’m a little fuzzy on the details, but when my son returned home, his iPhone was broken and I heard a convoluted story about not having a ball and using the iPhone to play catch with. Needless to say, I was not about to encourage this behavior by replacing the broken iPhone. I told him he could either replace it himself or find an iPhone repair company to try and fix it. My son went online and looked up iPhone repair and was surprised to find that there were websites offering iPhone repair services! He read the reviews of several sites, decided on one, and sent off his iPhone with his fingers crossed. A couple of days went by and one day, my son received a package in the mail. The iPhone repair company had returned his iPhone and it worked just as well as it had the day he got it as a gift! Needless to say, my son was thrilled. He has told me that he will never again use his iPhone as a substitute for a lacrosse ball. But he also told me he learned a valuable lesson about taking care of the things that are important to him.
