Apple made the iPod classic very difficult to open, so we are unable to offer a do-it-yourself kit. However, our technicians are able to open the iPod classic using special tools and techniques, and we can change the battery for you right here in our shop.

Our 580 mAh battery has the same juice as the original 580 mAh battery that came inside your 80GB or 120GB iPod classic, and it will provide 31 - 33 hours of music or 5 - 6 hours of videos in between a full charge.

Our 850 mAh battery has the same juice as the original 850 mAh battery that came inside your 160GB iPod classic, and it will provide 40 hours of music or 7 hours of videos in between a full charge. These are conservative estimates, as we'd rather under-promise and then over-deliver (that being said, we regularly receive feedback from our customers reporting even longer playtimes).

This battery is guaranteed for ten years, so if it ever fails to keep a full charge during this period of time, let us know and we will give you a new one (if you purchased a do-it-yourself kit) or re-install one for you (if you sent your device to us for the installation) at no additional charge! No other website offers this kind of coverage.

I was getting sick of my iPod classic because the batttery was all messed up all of the time. I was trying to save up $$ to get a new one, but I thought maybe I should just look around to see if I could find a battery to fix it. This battery service was really cool because it was a lot cheaper than I thought and guaranteed for 10 years. I was so sick of my iPod not charging all the way and having to charge it all of the time in my car, but I don't have to deal with that anymore. It works really well, and I was more than surprised with the quality of service given to me!

iPod classic Battery Stories

When you are a Girl Scout Leader your job is to help the girls learn leadership. Although the greatest fundraiser is our cookie sales we are also instrumental in helping the girls understand how to become leaders in their schools and in their communities. I am the co-leader of a small Girl Scout Troop and we strive to help them learn to take care of themselves. Each of our girls has learned the basics of Self Defense, and I have to tell you they are really ready for anything. We are raising the next generation of responsible youth. One of the most fun activities we have is going camping. Many troops have stopped going camping, but we are keeping this idea strong. It is a good idea for kids to learn about the wilderness and how to live within it. This also gets them away from computers and other gadgets; however we do allow them to bring their iPods. One particular weekend camping trip three of the girls had their iPods and we let them listen to them during downtime activities. On this particular weekend several girls were walking along a trail where they had to cross a very shallow creek. This was okay to do just by walking in the water but there was a log across it, so the girls had to use that to make it a little more challenging. We told the girls that if they were hiking they should leave their iPods in their tents, but not all the girls listened. As one of the scouts started across the log, she lost her footing and tumbled into the creek; her iPod hit a rock and landed in the water. She was in quite a panic because she loved her iPod, but I told her that she probably just needed an iPod repair. She didn't want to tell her parents for fear of getting into trouble, but we convinced her to do it. She told her parents and they helped her go online to look for an iPod repair company. Just as we suspected she was able to send her iPod out for repair and she was very happy at the fact that she was able to get it back so quickly. As leaders, we decided to make sure that we had the iPod repair company available for girls as part of being prepared for the next time it happens.
