A damaged backplate can cause problems with the performance of the iPod classic. The replacements we install will solve these problems and give your device back that brand new look.

Whenever possible, this backplate is completely blank and has no markings, printing, or logo.

Note: Please do not be confused by the word 'classic'. The iPod classic is a relatively recent Apple product, as is more specifically called the 6th Generation iPod classic. Models that precede the iPod classic (from most recent to oldest) are the 5th Generation iPod Video, the iPod Photo, the 4th Generation iPod, the iPod mini, the 3rd Generation iPod, and the 1st/2nd Generation iPod. All of these models are still very worthy of repair, so click on your model to see products and services that are right for your device!

Basically: my backplate on my iPod classic looked bad bad bad bad bad. It was scratched and dented, and not like this is a good thing at all, but my son is a toddler, and he chewed on it a bunch. It was horrible looking! I decided that instead of buying a new one I would try to be more eeconomical, since everyone is suffering from the recession, and I look for a backplate replacement. I was just going to ask one of my nerdy cousins to do it since they are good with gadgets, but milliamp replaced it for me which was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for all of your help because my classic looks better than ever!

iPod classic Repair Stories

John is the kid you always see with his iPod ear buds in. His head is always slightly bobbing to the beat of a song he's listening to and if you watch him walk, he's always bouncing ever so slightly to the rhythm he hears in his ears. He loves music and he loves his iPod. So much so, in fact, that it often gets him in trouble. John doesn't like to take his iPod off. He listens to the iPod in the car, at the dinner table (if he can get away with it), and even at school. He is always pushing the envelope with teachers, trying to get away with having just one ear bud in his ear during a lecture. One day, he strung the one ear bud up through his sleeve and out the neck of his sweatshirt. He wasn't allowed to have his hood on during class, but he did have it bunched up around his neck so nobody could see that he had a wire hanging out of his ear! This worked well until the teacher decided to take a walk around the classroom. John got busted for having his iPod on in class and his iPod was confiscated. Dejected, John had to wait until the end of the day to get his iPod back. John entered the teacher's classroom at the end of the school day and the teacher met him at the door with an unhappy look on his face. The teacher had taken John's iPod and placed it on the corner of his desk when he took it away from John. At the end of class, someone must have knocked the iPod off the desk as he was leaving because the teacher found the iPod on the floor. The iPod was broken. John was stunned, but the teacher had already thought of a solution. During his free period, the teacher had found an iPod repair website on the Internet. He told John all about the iPod repair process and it all sounded legitimate. John knew that might be his only hope for bringing music back to his daily life, so he agreed to send the iPod off for repair. Only a few weeks later, John showed up for class with his iPod on! He reported to his teacher that the repair job had been excellent and his iPod was working perfectly. Both John and his teacher were relieved to have found an affordable, reliable solution to the problem of the iPod being broken. They both are now recommending iPod repair service to their friends as a great way to keep their iPods up and running smoothly.
