Feedback From Our Customers:

I ordered a replacement battery for my 5th generation iPod (iPod Video) which was having iPod problems. I was a bit nervous about changing the battery myself, but that did not stop me. The battery came with very clear directions and there also is a support video. As stated in the directions, the hardest part of the process was opening up the Ipod. Now I can do it with ease. The battery replacement went very well and was pretty easy. I charged my new battery for 4 hours, but for some reason the battery meter on the Ipod on showed it to only be 50% charged, where it remained for the next 3 hours of charging. I looked at troubleshooting page for a solution. They recommended running down the battery and recharging it. So I watched an episode of the Office and ran it down a bit. I recharged my iPod and the battery shot right up to near 100% within minutes. Today I have listened to my iPod for nearly an hour and the battery meter still is showing 100% (AWESOME). I am no longer concerned about my battery dying in the middle of a 2 hour flight. I am so looking forward to an upcoming camping trip to see how long this baby is going to last. I'll keep you in mind if I ever have any iPhone problems!

iPod and iPhone Repair-Related Articles:

I had been putting off getting my iPod repaired for a long time now. I remember I was so happy when I bought it a year ago at the Apple store. Well, it wasn't more than a week later that my clumsy butt broke it while I was moving into my new apartment. I put it in a box full of heavy metal brackets and the screen got cracked. My friend told me that there are actually iPod repair companies that can do iPod repairs, and he even referred me to a particular iPod repair company. The name of the company that he suggested was Milliamp. I thought that was a pretty simple name so I decided to send in my iPod to get repaired. The process for getting my iPod to them was done first online where I went to their website and filled out an online form stating what my problem might be. This was easy because the problem was obviously my cracked LCD screen and that was easy to pick out of the list of possible iPod repair services that they offered. The next step in the iPod repair process was to wrap up my iPod and send it in to them to get repaired. I decided to use an old shoe box I had lying around and stuff it with bubble wrap and place my iPod in the box. Step one was to cut a hole in the box. Step two was to stuff my iPod in the box. Step three was to make the iPod repair people open the box. With my iPod was in the box I had it shipped to Milliamp via first class mail. When they received my iPod I got a confirmation email notification. It took about four days for them to get it. Sure enough they said my iPod repair required me to pay them to replace the LCD screen. This wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be. I figured spending 50 dollars for the whole deal was still cheaper than buying a brand new iPod. I think Apple charges way too much for those iPods. I think this is because I just hate iTunes. For some reason I never got good at downloading music. All in all I have to say that my iPod repair experience was a pleasant one. The folks at Milliamp were pleasant to deal with on the phone and the turn around time was only about two weeks using USPS. I will have to recommend them to a friend if they ever need to get an iPod repaired.
